understanding Milan a little better…

Trust me, if you wanna go for an educational trip, Milan in Italy is definitely not the place for you.if you wanna great shopping extravaganza, come here. Like I said, moi’s back with another report of Milan. The last time, I hadn’t passed the border, but now, I’m well over it. I’m reporting from a nice hotel room in Milan and I have an interesting story for you. Today, I went on a three-hour long tour of a church in Milan. This nineteen century totally Goth church was pretty haunting cause there were next to no people inside, the organ was banging out a tune and I saw a rotted corpse of a friend of a formal king of Italy. Whew, that’s all. I know that my stories are becoming less and less detailed, and I’m sorry, but as my tour draws to an end, my trips in every state become as short as one day or even a couple of hours! I swear that once I get back to Singapore, I’ll upload the photos from my mother’s cam and you can let your eyes behold the wonderful pictures. Bon appetite for your eyes… Anyhoo, I have to go now… Shadevra over and out!

bad news

Hey guys… I’m not feeling very happy today, that’s because I can’t find my camera and I think that I’ve lost it! But don’t worry, I’ll probably resort to using the photos on my mum’s camera for facebbok… Anyway, today, I bid au revoir to Switzerland and say bonjour to Milan, Italy. Now it’s 11 o’clock in Switzerland, I am on the bus and nearing the swiss-italian border. There’s gonna be a hectic four days ahead. Everyday, we’ll be travelling in the bus for four to five hours. Now, however, is anything but hectic! We’re passing mountains and hills and fields with cattle grazing in them! But I really miss home now. I miss the noisy city of Singapore, I miss my computer and radio 91.3! Turns out, my mom’s blackberry can’t play the radiostation online and my laptop is malfunctioning…grrrl. The tour guide just switched on classical music. I hat classical music! Well, I’ll fill you in on my great Milan adventure later! Shadevra over and out!

Yung Frau Jock is Damn cold

Yo guys! I’m back. Today, we went to visit ze great Yung Frau Jock. The great Swiss mountain, Young Lady’s Peak. It’s darn cold up there at 3571m! The winds up there can literally blow you off your feet! I was almost toppled over! Anyway, let’s get straight into the story. Today, I woke up, ate breakfast, got up the bus and set off to Yung Frau Jock. Up there, it was minus one and- oooh! It was so cold! I suffered from minor hypo thermia! My hands and feet turned gray! How scary is that huh? Well, now, I gotta go finish editing my photos. But I will tell you about the places that I visited. I visited three places: the viewing tower, the ice palace and the sphinxes’s view. The viewing tower is not as the name suggests, we have to go outside into the cold. But it was kinda fun. We ended up throwing snowballs at each other! The next place, the ice palace was a toture room! It was freezing cold, the floor was slippery and the lighting was so dim. And worst of all, due to the altitude and the pressure, my sister threw up five times consecutively because she climbed the steps too fast! However, the compensation was that in the ice palace, there. Were plenty of briliant ice sculptures… The sphinxe’s view was pretty interesting, it was the highest point of Europe that tourist could go! But I hardly spent two minutes outside because out there it was minus ten degrees… But the view was breathtaking! The sun just glinted off the glaciers of neighbouring moutains… And the ground was a blanket of soft white snow! Perfect fot building snow men! But I didn’t get the chance to try because the cold got to me before the idea did… What a shame. Well, the photos await… Shadevra over and out!

tonight

Hey, just like I said. This entry’s gonna be dedicated to tonight’s events. Morning:woke up sinking in a hotel bed. Ate breakfast, set off for Mt. Titlus. Afternoon: shopping. Dinner:went to a funky little hotel with a real nice restaurant on the first floor which sells cheese fondue. Waiters danced and sang while we ate and cracked funny jokes too! Appetizer was a Swiss salad with good dressings followed by a main course of yummy pieces of chicken and pork dipped in super gooey super hot and melted Swiss cheese. Then was a bit of very interesting entertainment. One person from each table must stand up in front of everyone else and blow a super long pipe called a Swiss oboe so that that persons’ groupcould get something extra for their dessert! Luckily, I wasn’t chosen…WHEW! Any way, right noe I’m waiting outside a convenience store beside a very very very big brown labrador retriever.and it’s drooling all over me! How cool is that!? Anywho, I’m going mad because of all this fresh mountain air. All that nausea from the plane ride and the cough from the first day are totally gone now! I feel well now!

cheese fondue goes very nicely with crazy village men

Yo! Your favourite girl’s back online! Just went to have a fun dinner at a fondue shop.I don’t know the name of this shop, but it’s in a real run-down hotel and serves exellent food too! The owner of the shop said to us when we went in “I don’t care whether you like it or not, you’ve gotta finish my cheese fondue! Or else no chocolate fondue!” And then, he went on to play a traditional instrument called a Swiss oboe and that thing was at least seven feet long! It makes a low sound and is made outta ash tree wood. Now I’m in a local outlet of Bucherer and my mom’s looking at pearl necklaces that cost1700 CHFWhich is Swiss francs, their currency, I know that you’re eager to see all the photos that I’d snapped so far, unfortunately, I didn’t think that this dinner would be insignificant I our trip, so I didn’t have my camera along with me so I’ve got nought photos for this dinner. But to compensate, I’ll devote my entire next entry to telling you about this amazing meal that I had! Till then… Shadevra over and out.

Just now, we went to visit ze famous Lion Monument zat was erected for ze Swiss soldiers of ze french revolution! I have just finished a round of intensive shopping at a famous shop called bucherer-no, not butcherer but bukerer. Okay, the bus has started to move. Now, we’re on our way to the charming village of Anchorbergm Then, we’re gonna play with snow there! My first time really… I’m real excited. Well, I’ll see blog later! Shadevra over and out!

reporting live from paris

Hey there you all! It’s moi here again. Reporting live from paris! Today is the second day of my tour and I think that I’m suffering from serious culture shock! But first, let me tell you about yesterday… Just as I’d said at the airport, I’d waken in the plane to find myself in paris. After we met up with our tour guide, gary, we set off for our first sight-seeing spot: arch de triumphe. Arch de triumphe is a marvolous structure erected by napoleon, a french pope (a.k.a king). Next, we went on to visit the famous eiffel tower! Believe me, whatever you see on postcards cannot be believed. What you’re seeing is a tiny replica of the real one which stands at a monstrous 1000 metres tall! The eiffel tower took its maker gustave eiffel 2 years, 2 months, 2 weeks, 2 days, 2 hours, 2 minutes and 2 seconds to complete construction! No kidding!I thought that i would never get this huge and wonderful struture in one shot. However, I was actually proven wrong! After a sumptuos lunch at a Chinese/Italian restaurant called Fortuane de Jade, we went on a cruise along the sienne river. There, I was able to get awesome shots that I’ll post on facebook soon… Anyway, let’s get on with today’s events: firstly, I felt really ill this morning. I had a terrible cough and a mild fever. But I felt better after a few cups of water and juice and a hearty breakfast. At 9 o’clock, our tour group of 32 people(including us) set off for the Louvre museum;the largest museum in Europe. The rest of the day was spent shopping for souvenirs. I bought a frige magnet with a painting of the Mona Lisa on it for my mother’s sister. Also, I got a stack of postcards to give to my friends back in Singapore when I get backm tomorrow, I’ll say au revoir to paris and boujour to Switzerland! I’ll fill you in tomorrow… Shadevra over n out!
